What do Gingerbread Pirates need the most? A
Ship! We had fun making boats and testing to see how they float and
move in the water!
Tuesday, we celebrated all the wonderful gingerbread
stories from December by voting for our favorites. We used clipboards to walk
around and ask each other, "Which Gingerbread story was your
favorite?" Then, we tallied the results and looked at our graph to see
which story was the most popular! Ask your child which Gingerbread story was their favorite? The Gingerbread Man, Boy, Girl, Ninja, Bear, Baby, Pirate...
Wednesday was full of adventure! Inspired by the Gingerbread
Man on the Loose in School, we went on a school-wide scavenger hunt to find
the gingerbread man. He left clues for us in the hallways, gym, music room,
library, and staff room. We even stopped to ask several teachers if they had
seen him. In the end, we found him back in our classroom, and he rewarded us
with yummy gingerbread cookies! Mrs. Azzopardi was a huge help this week!!! We always love when she is our guest teacher!!
Thursday, we read a heartwarming story about a
Gingerbread Mouse in search of a new home. One snowy winter night, Mouse was
cozy in her bed when suddenly—crack! A falling tree branch destroyed her house.
With determination, resourcefulness, and a good amount of Christmas wonder,
Mouse found not just another home, but a place she could truly call home.
